DR. SAMAR FAROUK is a Professor in the neurology department, faculty of medicine, Al-Minia University, Egypt. Currently, she is a consultant in Neurology at Ibn Sina Hospital Kuwait and Multiple Sclerosis Certified

Specialist. Dr. Samar is a Member at American Academy of Neurology and a member of the European Academy of Neurology (EAN).

She Received her degree in medicine (MD) from Minia University, Egypt. She underwent her neurology residency at the same University.

She runs general neurology clinics and attends specialized MS clinic. She also performs consults on in-patients at the Neurology department and aids management of stroke patients for IV-TPA.

She is involved in the education and training for neurology residents and medical students. She is a member of Residency Examination Committee of Neurology, Kuwait.

Dr Samar’s fields of interest are principally directed towards the neuroepidemiology, multiple sclerosis and headache.

Dr. Samar is actively involved in research and she authored and co-authored many publications and presentations in peer review journal and congresses, (65 peer-reviewed publications, 1233 citations, h-index: 19; i10-index: 39). She is involved as co-investigator in many research projects and drug trials. She is member in many local and regional advisory boards committees.
